Did you know that when people take up certain posts in the service of the Catholic Church they are required to make a personal, public profession of faith according to a prescribed formula? Canon law requires those to be promoted to the order of the diaconate to make such a profession of faith as a step to their diaconate ordination. On April 3rd, the candidates for the diaconate at St. Patrick's Seminary made their profession of faith in front of the community at Vespers including:
- Ian Quito - Archdiocese of San Francisco
- Benjamin Rosado - Archdiocese of San Francisco
- Honorio Valdeavilla Pangan - Archdiocese of Agaña
- Junee Valencia - Archdiocese of Agaña
- Dario Rinaldi - Diocese of Honolulu
- John Plass - Diocese of Santa Rosa
- Thomas Stuart - Diocese of Santa Rosa
At the same Vespers ceremony, both the candidates for diaconate and the candidates for priesthood also took an oath of fidelity with their hands on the Bible. Our candidates for the priesthood include:
- Rev. Mr. Kyle J. Faller - Archdiocese of San Francisco
- Rev. Mr. Ernesto M. Jandonero - Archdiocese of San Francisco
- Rev. Mr. Michael Rocha - Archdiocese of San Francisco
- Rev. Mr. Romple Emwalu - Diocese of Honolulu
- Rev. Mr. Vincent Anh Vu - Diocese of Honolulu
- Rev. Mr. Patrick Klekas - Diocese of Reno
- Rev. Mr. Manuel Rodriguez - Diocese of Sacramento
- Rev. Mr. Adrian Cisneros - Diocese of Stockton
Below is a slideshow of the ceremony where our seminarians took an important new step toward priesthood.
