Bishop William J. Justice, retired Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, former Board of Trustees member, and alumnus of St. Patrick’s, returned to the Seminary to celebrate the Rite of Admission to Candidacy on February 21, 2018.  Nine of our Theology III seminarians were formally recognized as candidates for Holy Orders.  These candidates come from the Diocese of Honolulu, the Diocese of Sacramento, the Archdiocese of San Francisco, and the Diocese of Stockton.  During his homily, Bishop Justice spoke about Job’s refusal to go to Nineveh to proclaim God’s message and congratulated the men for their discernment and their obedience in freely responding to God’s call.  Also present were Bishop Clarence Silva of the Diocese of Honolulu and Bishop Jaime Soto of the Diocese of Sacramento, along with the vocation directors of the dioceses and STPSU faculty members.
