On the Feast of the Annunciation, six members of the St. Patrick's community participated in a ceremony to consecrating themselves to Jesus through Mary. There were five seminarians and one faculty member who participated:
- John Paul Rabago - Oakland
- Joseph Klinge - Fresno
- Marucio Acevedo - Santa Rosa
- Thomas Stuart - Santa Rosa
- Jose Maria Carrillo - Fresno
- Dr. Nina Heereman - Faculty
Deacon Michael Rocha presided over the fifteen minute ceremony where the participants renewed their baptismal promises and recited a prayer to culminate their 33 days of preparation in this act. Through the process, they deepened their devotion to and relationship with Jesus through Our Lady. When one consecrates oneself to Mary, one gives everything they are and everything they do to the Lord through Mary. All participants received chains from The Legion of Mary that had been blessed by Archbishop Cordileone to wear as an external reminder of their consecration.
