The 2017 class of new seminarians included 20 new men who came from archdioceses and dioceses from all over the world: San Francisco, Oakland, Honolulu, Santa Rosa, Sacramento, Spokane, Honolulu, Agana, and Suwon.  This marks the first year that the Diocese of Suwon, South Korea has sent seminarians to St. Patrick's, and a Guamanian presence returns after a 4-year absence.

These men were welcomed to St. Patrick's with an orientation before the beginning of the Academic Year, which included a community BBQ hosted by the Serra Club.  Communal liturgies, shared meals, recreation hours, work periods, in addition to events like Community Day, the Gala, Feast of the Korean Martyrs, and San Lorenzo Feast Day celebration unite these men with the wider community of returning seminarians.

New incoming Archdiocese of San Francisco seminarian David Mees shared his thoughts: "I'm with a great bunch of guys and the faculty and administrators are very supportive and encouraging.  I feel very happy and fulfilled that I am here at St. Patrick's."

Please pray for our new and returning group of seminarians and for an increase in vocations.
